Accepted Payment Methods
AmiAmi accepts PayPal (credit card, instant transfer, eCheck) and credit card (Visa, MasterCard, American Express, JCB, Diners Club) payments. Unfortunately pre-paid cards cannot be accepted, and we do not recommend the use of debit cards. Cash on Delivery payment is available for an extra 200 JPY for shipments within Japan. We unfortunately cannot accept any other payment methods. Please note that credit card payment is not available for orders to Vietnam, Peru, or Ukraine.

Due to a rise in fraudulent credit card payments worldwide, we may be required to ask customers to pay via PayPal in some instances. For new customers, we may also ask that your first payment be made via PayPal for safety reasons. We apologize for the inconvenience and thank you for your kind understanding on this matter.

Your order's payment method can be updated through the "Update shipping info/payment method" link on your My Account page. Please note that eChecks by PayPal cannot be sent through our website. Please contact us if you would like to send an eCheck.
Payment Currency
Our store can only accept payments in Japanese Yen (JPY). Payments sent in any other currencies will be returned.
When to Pay
Orders are generally invoiced after all items in an order are available and ready to be shipped. In an effort to smoothly and quickly ship high-demand items, we may request payment up to 2 weeks before release for certain items.

Pre-payment is not required for pre-order items unless noted otherwise. We may request pre-payment for large orders, or certain items including but not limited to high-priced or order-made items.

Please contact us if you have trouble authorizing payment through our website.

*NOTE: Orders shipped via Domestic with credit card payment may be automatically charged and shipped upon availability. Please make sure the information for such orders are correct and up-to-date at all times.
Payment Deadline
All payments must be made in full within seven (7) days of the first order invoice. We are unable to accept split payments or extend payment deadlines. Please note that combining orders will not extend your payment deadline.
Using Points
1 AmiAmi Point is equivalent to 1 JPY. Points may be redeemed and applied to your order during the payment process.
Points cannot be applied when placing new orders except for orders whose shipping method is Domestic.

NOTE: Paid orders cannot be modified. Please make any necessary updates to your orders and wait for an updated invoice before authorizing payment.
Available Shipping Methods
All orders are shipped by either EMS, DHL, Air Small Packet, or SAL. We are unfortunately unable to offer any other shipping options. Please note that EMS, DHL and/or SAL service may not be available to all countries.

Your order's shipping method and shipping address can be updated through the "Update shipping info/payment method" link on your My Account page. Please keep in mind that updating your address through the "Modify account information" link will not automatically update the shipping address for all your orders. Please update your orders individually and do not authorize payment for in-stock orders until you have received a new invoice with the new address displayed. Orders that are in the process of shipping or have been shipped cannot be modified.

NOTE: Your shipping method may be changed by our store if your order is ineligible to be shipped by your chosen method.
Please understand that during busy times of the month, our store may prioritize the shipment of EMS/DHL orders and SAL/Air orders may take slightly longer to be shipped in comparison.

NOTE: We now have a new shipping method available: DHL.Please refer to the “New Shipping Method” section below for further information.

New Shipping Method
What is DHL?
DHL is a courier with branches all over the world. Unlike normal international mail, which is handled by different postal services depending on the country, parcels shipped with DHL will be handled by the same company in all countries, allowing for a smoother delivery.

1. It may be cheaper than EMS depending on the size, weight and the country.
2. It may reach customers faster than EMS depending on the country and the delivered area.
3. On-Demand Delivery service (ODD)
You will receive an email from DHL and you will be able to use the following services:

Package delivery/re-delivery can be scheduled.
-[Collect from Service Point]
Package can be picked up at local Service Points.
-[Vacation Hold]
DHL will store your parcel for a maximum of 30 days.

*These services might not be available in some countries. Please check with your local DHL branch to find out whether they are available in your country.
*Customer's e-mail address will be forwarded to DHL. Please choose a different delivery method if you do not wish this. AmiAmi cannot take any responsibilities after it has been forwarded to DHL.

-DHL requires a complete and correct address for delivery. Please make sure that you enter all information without mistakes, using only the English alphabet. Non-English alphabet (such as accented/special letters or symbols used in other languages and Chinese characters) cannot be used.
For customers without "state" and such information, please leave the space blank.
We will do our best to suit the entered address to DHL's method. However, we may contact customers if the address information is still not enough. Please note that, in this case, shipping of the order will be delayed.

-Please check the item for any issues when you receive it. If you find issues, please contact AmiAmi with clear pictures of the item together with the order invoice or shipping label.
The claim will be sent to DHL from us and if DHL acknowledges the issue to be on their side, compensation will be provided to the customer by DHL through AmiAmi. Please refer to DHL's official website or to the "Terms of Conditions" linked below for more information. Please note that AmiAmi cannot offer a product exchange in case of damage happened during shipping.

DHL “Terms and Conditions”

-DHL cannot be selected as method of delivery for food products and products containing lithium or dry cell batteries.
The delivery method will be automatically changed even if DHL is selected for these products.

-Customer's e-mail address will be handed over to DHL as it is required for On-Demand Delivery (ODD) service provided by DHL.

Shipping Costs
Shipping costs are calculated after orders are placed and all items in the order are ready to be shipped. We are able to provide shipping estimates for in-stock items. If you would like an estimate, please contact us before placing an order with the item code and name. Please note that we are unable to provide shipping estimates for pre-order items because their final size and weight have not yet been determined.
Customers may be required to pay customs fees when receiving foreign shipments and we ask that customers please keep this in mind when placing orders at our store. AmiAmi unfortunately has no control over any fees/taxes levied by your country's government. We are by law unable to undervalue shipments or mark them as "Gift," and therefore cannot fulfill any such requests to do so. All orders are marked as "Merchandise" with the full value of contents written on an invoice attached to the outside of the parcel. We are unfortunately unable to put invoice documents inside parcels, or ship orders without an invoice.

Please understand that some countries may require that parcels be opened for customs inspection. Our store cannot be held responsible for any actions taken by customs officials, and we are unable to provide compensation or replacements for any items lost, seized, or damaged during inspection.
Shipment Tracking
Online tracking is available for all shipping methods except SAL Small Packet (Unregistered).

Please understand that the online tracking status may not always be up-to-date. AmiAmi has no control over the delivery of parcels and we are therefore unfortunately unable to answer any questions relating to parcel delivery status. Please contact your local post office for more information.
Combined Shipping
Items that are scheduled to be released the same month are eligible to be combined. Orders can be combined through the Combine orders by month link on your My Account page. In-stock and back-order items may be combined together, or with pre-order items scheduled to be released the current month. Please understand that we are unfortunately unable to combine items released in different months and our cart system will automatically split items ineligible to be combined into separate orders during the checkout process.
Split Shipment
In some cases large orders that are ineligible for Small Packet may be shipped more economically by splitting the order into separate, smaller shipments. Please contact us with your order ID number and instructions regarding how you would like your items arranged if you would like to split your order.

There are some situations where we may not be able to separate large orders. We kindly ask that customers please try to arrange their items the way they would like them shipped when placing their orders.
Shipping Limitations
Not all shipping methods may be available for all orders. Some countries do not offer EMS, DHL and/or SAL service, and there are size and weight limitations for Small Packet shipments. Your order may be modified without prior notice if it is not eligible for your selected shipping method.
All sales are final and returns are not accepted. Some parcels may be returned to our store by your local postal service due to being unclaimed, failure to pay import fees, etc. We will contact customers to arrange reshipment if their parcel is returned to us. Reshipment fees may be required to send the order again. Please note that items will be re-shipped in the same condition as they are returned to our store. Postage fees are non-refundable.
*We cannot provide a chart with the shipping fees, as they fluctuate depending on fuel surcharges.

*The shipping fee will be quoted in your invoice.
